Beauty Haul

So lately I have really gotten back into being crazy about skincare products and other beauty related items, and yesterday I went on a small shopping spree and picked up a few goodies :)

The first thing I bought was the Montagne Jeunesse Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips, I tried them one on me and it worked brilliantly I could see a huge improvement as soon as I took it off, My boyfriend was so impressed he even wanted to give it a go! He always likes to try my stuff, Theres been a few times where we have both put on face masks together, but i never had the chance to capture it on camera. He liked the nose pore strips until it was time to remove it, and oh my god it was a big OUCHHHH or AIYAAA moment lol. and he said he never wanted to try it ever again lol. Even though he was impressed with the results. No pain, no gain.

Then I spotted this new Bath Range that seems really really similar to the likes of Lush or the Body Shop called Bomb Cosmetics. Has anyone reading this ever tried them? I bought two Bath Bombs don't they look so cute and they smell gorgeous. They have cute names too the first one is called Cherry Bathe well and the one below is called Mr Lather Lover. I can't wait to try them out and pick up a few more.
I also decided to pick up one of there soaps sometimes you just get fed up using those bottle soaps and want a good classic lovely smelling bar of soap the one i picked up smells like cherries and smells lovely, a great summer scent. The only thing I would say is it is a bit sticky and slippery. doesn't really dry off.
Then the last thing I picked up was the Strawberries & Cream Body Butter. It smells so good, Before I saw this I was really tempted to buy the Body shops mini Strawberry Body Butter. but i actually found this Bomb Cosmetics Body Butter to smell much more natural and it seems very rich and nourishing.
There is one more product in the Bomb Cosmetics range that i am on the fence about buying the Black-currant Body Polish like the strawberry body butter I just fell in love with the scent I may go back tomorrow and buy the Body scrub.

So have any of you reading this tried any Bomb Cosmetic products? How did you get on with them?

I do,

I do, I do, I do,
lol, wedding season in Ireland, On Tuesday I attended my chinese friends wedding, it was the first Chinese wedding i have ever been to. But actually not only that it was only the second wedding i have ever been to, The first wedding I went to strangely was my Granddad and Grans Wedding. My Granddad got remarried aged 80. Your never too old to get married I guess.

Anyway this wedding was something of a conundrum for me and my boyfriend, First off was the gift we had to give, €200. The system for gifts for the chinese weddings just seem like madness, What you give depends on the friendship and what you give you will receive at your own wedding.

When we arrived at the restaurant we were given a Tiny red envelope to put our money in by, what can only be called the Best Man I guess, There wasn't really grooms men and bridesmaids or anything like that. Then we put our money in and handed it in to the 2 Chinese Girls sitting at a type of reception table.

Once that was done a long night was to begin, we sat down and had to wait for all the guests to arrive, and of course most of them were fashionably late and by the time food was served, we were all starving lol. There wasn't a scrap left at the table. Waste not want not.

When the food and games were over, My friends kids were starting to get tired and wanted to go home so my boyfriend suggested i should go home with her because he was going to stay and go to KTV with some of the wedding group.

Sharing is caring

I wish you could have a relationship without money, and most importantly without talking about money. It would just make life so much more easier, no fighting no arguing, I think it would erradicate a lot of meaningless lovers tiffs.

Me and my boyfriend have this problem we both know exactly how much we both get per week, Which then makes spending the money uncomfortable. We get faced with questions like,

Why did you buy that sneaky doughnut before work instead of eating breakfast? HELLO BECAUSE I WANTED TO.

Why did you get a take away today? you know your wasting money? BECAUSE I FINISHED LATE AND WANTED IT.

Why did you buy the more expensive cigarettes and waste our money? (I don't smoke my boyfriend does)

If we both were completely oblivious to each others finances we wouldn't have to worry about having the answers to these questions.  Yesterday for example I started the day with 150 Euro in my purse, by tonight i had 100.  My boyfriends like where did 50 euro go?

Cough medicine, (still suffering from the flue)

Spot cream (Tea tree witch Hazel spot wand)

Cinema tickets

Bus ticket

Train tickets

Take away

2 work lunches

Face wipes

a bottle of coke

and maybe a bunch of other things i forgot

But in my opinion its my money its my problem if i spend it on a load of unneccary crap. You know how my parents deal with this crap? They both have separate bank accounts. They never explain what happened with there money. Thats the way I want to be one day. just like them. I pay for certain bills and my husband would pay for other bills and no questions would ever be asked. How do you guys deal with this? There has to be other easy solutions.

Whats in my make up bag?

I recently started an internship with a cosmetics distributor company. When I say recently I mean Tuesday this week. I will be the first one to admit that I am not exactly the most cosmetic savvy people around. I mean I usually wear very minimalistic make up. Basically just Foundation, Lip gloss, blusher. Occasionally I wear eye shaddow and I don't really like mascara because I wear contact lenses  and sometimes I have to rub my eye and then that would mess up my mascara. @.@

I guess now that I am working for a cosmetic company I need to start caring more about my make up and appearance. Today the most embarassing thing happened :( Someone from the sales team said I look like a child. like 12 years old. Oh my god. like half my age so now i have decided its time for a complete make over. Its time to seriously consider updating my make up and make up bag.

Slowly but surely I am going to build up the perfect make up kit but before I start I will show you whats in my current bag and over time as I add new things I will update it here.

Bourjois Blusher

Revlon Colour Stay foundation

Rimmel longer lashes mascara

Bourjois silver eye shadow

Bourjois biio detox organic foundation

Benefit Blusher

Sally Hansen Lip gloss

Revlon lip stick

I was a Fake tanning virgin until Wednesday this week, I went to a St Tropez training event and learned about all the different products. Then on Thursday I recieved some free samples and yesterday I decided to try them out,

I tried the St Tropez Wash off self tan bronzing lotion and St Tropez perfect legs spray, but personally I still consider myself a fake tan virgin because I definitely need more practice!!!

For years I have clung on to my youth and never really wanted to look older like most girls, because I am not interested in smoking or drinking. So I never really needed to try to look older, but lately things have been slowly creeping up on me, I am kind of getting tired of people having disbelief about my age. I think its time for me to grow up and start looking my age. I said it to my boyfriend and he said he hates girls who wear to much make up and says don't wear any of that brown stuff (foundation) just stick with rosy cheeks and pink lips. But thats just juvenile.

What a coincidence!

Next Sunday will be me and Michael's commitment anniversary. I guess it sounds weird but I don't know what else to call it. But anyway we have chosen a theme for our gifts to each other, I know how organised are we. We chose "Paper" which is kind of a coincidence since I have just recconnected with my old love of snail mail and penpalling.

Actually I have been having a number of coincidences lately. On Wednesday, I met my friend Guo Zhi Bai in Dublin city centre and I hardly ever get to see him because he is so busy with his life and his job and his studies and his badminton and everything else, you name it, he's probably busy with it. So we finally arranged to meet up on Wednesday and we headed to Super Mac's had a nice chat then off we went to the cinema.

We bought our tickets to see "Crazy Stupid love" When I was in the bathroom I checked my phone. My former classmate had text me and thrust me, he had been keeping quiet for the last 6 weeks, I had no idea where he was or what he was doing. He's another one of the busy sorts.

He text me to say "what a coincidence, I saw you with that basketball boy" him and Guo Zhi Bai don't get a long. Naturally I was shocked and was thinking how did he see me, but I didn't see him, My eyesight isn't that bad... right. I tried calling him no answer so I left it.

But the other weird thing at the cinema is we bought Diet 7UP in Spar rather than in the cinema to save money, I know were stingy students.

When I sat down I put my Diet 7Up in the drink holder beside me the lights went off and by accident i hit my bottle, I heard it land on the floor, I used my phone as a torch light to try and find it, because there's no way it could have gone far, but no luck.

So after the movie when the lights came on me and Guo Zhi Bai searched again and still couldn't find it. It was weird maybe the 7UP fairies stole it. Or maybe this was a punishment inflicted by the cinema owners for being stingy.
