Sharing is caring

I wish you could have a relationship without money, and most importantly without talking about money. It would just make life so much more easier, no fighting no arguing, I think it would erradicate a lot of meaningless lovers tiffs.

Me and my boyfriend have this problem we both know exactly how much we both get per week, Which then makes spending the money uncomfortable. We get faced with questions like,

Why did you buy that sneaky doughnut before work instead of eating breakfast? HELLO BECAUSE I WANTED TO.

Why did you get a take away today? you know your wasting money? BECAUSE I FINISHED LATE AND WANTED IT.

Why did you buy the more expensive cigarettes and waste our money? (I don't smoke my boyfriend does)

If we both were completely oblivious to each others finances we wouldn't have to worry about having the answers to these questions.  Yesterday for example I started the day with 150 Euro in my purse, by tonight i had 100.  My boyfriends like where did 50 euro go?

Cough medicine, (still suffering from the flue)

Spot cream (Tea tree witch Hazel spot wand)

Cinema tickets

Bus ticket

Train tickets

Take away

2 work lunches

Face wipes

a bottle of coke

and maybe a bunch of other things i forgot

But in my opinion its my money its my problem if i spend it on a load of unneccary crap. You know how my parents deal with this crap? They both have separate bank accounts. They never explain what happened with there money. Thats the way I want to be one day. just like them. I pay for certain bills and my husband would pay for other bills and no questions would ever be asked. How do you guys deal with this? There has to be other easy solutions.

What a coincidence!

Next Sunday will be me and Michael's commitment anniversary. I guess it sounds weird but I don't know what else to call it. But anyway we have chosen a theme for our gifts to each other, I know how organised are we. We chose "Paper" which is kind of a coincidence since I have just recconnected with my old love of snail mail and penpalling.

Actually I have been having a number of coincidences lately. On Wednesday, I met my friend Guo Zhi Bai in Dublin city centre and I hardly ever get to see him because he is so busy with his life and his job and his studies and his badminton and everything else, you name it, he's probably busy with it. So we finally arranged to meet up on Wednesday and we headed to Super Mac's had a nice chat then off we went to the cinema.

We bought our tickets to see "Crazy Stupid love" When I was in the bathroom I checked my phone. My former classmate had text me and thrust me, he had been keeping quiet for the last 6 weeks, I had no idea where he was or what he was doing. He's another one of the busy sorts.

He text me to say "what a coincidence, I saw you with that basketball boy" him and Guo Zhi Bai don't get a long. Naturally I was shocked and was thinking how did he see me, but I didn't see him, My eyesight isn't that bad... right. I tried calling him no answer so I left it.

But the other weird thing at the cinema is we bought Diet 7UP in Spar rather than in the cinema to save money, I know were stingy students.

When I sat down I put my Diet 7Up in the drink holder beside me the lights went off and by accident i hit my bottle, I heard it land on the floor, I used my phone as a torch light to try and find it, because there's no way it could have gone far, but no luck.

So after the movie when the lights came on me and Guo Zhi Bai searched again and still couldn't find it. It was weird maybe the 7UP fairies stole it. Or maybe this was a punishment inflicted by the cinema owners for being stingy.

All smurfed out!

Too be honest I haven't really seen any cartoon movies that I've liked since Tangled, as Megamind was a bit of a disappointment and Kung fu panda 2 was just ok. Basically they all put me off going to see cartoon movies.

But then at the start of the summer my brother told the family that his girlfriend loves smurfs, (this was way before there was any word about the movie) then when we went on holidays to Italy, my brother spent most of the holiday buying smurf related souvenirs for his girlfriend such as

a Smurf Blanket

Smurf balls

Smurf comic books (in italian which he translated when we got home)

Smurf pencils

Smurf tshirt

Then a few weeks after we got back from our holidays and I found out that there was going to be a new Smurf movie. A smurf epidemic was about to start.

Then I saw pictures of Katy Perry at the premier where a smurf dress. Then I knew I have to see this movie! So today me my friend Nancy and Michelle went to see it. The beginning was very good, but parts of the middle were a bit boring.but overall it was pretty good.

Then after the movie we went to a korean bbq restaurant for dinner ^^ But it was a bit sad because this is probably the last dinner for the 3 of us in Ireland anyway, Michelle is going back to China for good next Sunday. Tomorrow I have another fair well lunch tommorrow, My friend Edison is going back to china on the 18th of August

So basically I will be eating all weekend lol

Here comes trouble

I hadn't seen my former classmate since the Smurfit BBQ and to be honest that encounter wasn't very pleasant, My friend Nancy met him and warned me against him. So after that I basically kept my distance.

Then last Friday I had a really busy day planned. In the morning I met Guo Zhi Bai at college and typed up a letter for his Dad's visa application. His Dad is planning to come to Ireland for his graduation.

Then after, we had lunch together in Super Mac's and then I rushed to Dun Laoghraire to meet my friend Anna and some other friends to go Cinema.

We went to see Super 8 and to be honest it was super scary lol. I almost grabbed Anna's arm lol. Then on the way home on the dart my former classmate started texting me nonstop to meet me, I tried my best to say no.

But he kept insisting and before I knew it, he had driven to Bray. I hopped in his car and ended up in Tallagh, eating dumplings. then he told me he opened a new restaurant in Naas with a friend from the same city and asked me would i like to work as a waitress there.

I am still musing over it but basically it would require me living with him in his house...  I haven't managed to mention it to my boyfriend yet. But i am guessing its going to make his skin crawl. He hates my former classmate more than anyone =.=;;; What to do?

I don't know how I get involved with these awkward situations

The Waterford trip - Fail lol

On Sunday my boyfriend came home from work late, things are starting to get crazy at his work again. @.@ anyway as soon as he came in he said quick get dressed up, Ping and his new girlfriend Cherry are staying in a hotel in Bray

Heres a picture of Ping and Cherry

So we rushed out the door, literally and met them in the Martello in Bray and chatted for awhile and decided to make plans for the next day. Ping was thinking of going to Wicklow. But to be honest I didn't think there would be enough stuff to do there. So in the end we decided we would go to Waterford and stay in a hotel down there. So we all agreed to meet at 10'oc on Monday morning and get KFC for breakfast and hit the road.

It all sounded so great, then when we were walking back to our apartment, my boyfriend got hungry and we decided to get fish and chips. Then a series of unfortunate events followed. We got shortchanged by 10 euro. so I had to go back and complain, then we went back to the apartment and my boyfriend said I didn't bring my key did you? no...

Our Landlord owns a pub about 5 minutes away so we walked there and explained to one of the bar men that we had forgotten our key and then he said the boss is away in Spain and all the keys are kept locked in his office, but his wife will be here tomorrow so she will be able to help you. OH SHIT

Then we thought maybe we would try sleep in my boyfriends friends house. but i was wearing contact lenses and had no cleaning solution or anything with me. Also it was 2am so we decided our only option was to walk to my house. So we walked up and crept into the house and my boyfriend had to sleep in the spare room and i slept in my room.

I couldn't sleep a wink because i had been drinking and he couldn't sleep because he felt like a criminal. He left my house at 6am before my family woke up and walked around the seafront until the bosses wife gave him the key.

Halleluyah!

Then I packed my stuff to go to Waterford and then my boyfriend said I don't want to go wahahaha i'm too tired. But in the end we got in Pings car and set off. First stop Tesco, where we bought wayyyyy too many snacks! Chicken drumsticks ribs, chicken nuggets, sweets, red bull, coke, fruit, nuts you name it,

Then we drove aimlessly for about 2 hours and ended up in Wexford??? We missed the Waterford turn. so we had to turn around and head back. then we got to Waterford and spent an hour trying to find a non fee paying carparking space mission impossible.

Then we went shopping in the small shopping centres, then the next mission find a hotel, that we can afford....  we walked up and down and around and could barely find any. then we went to the tourist office and they gave us a map and showed us where the hotels were.

Ping and his girlfriend went searching while me and michael ate our ice cream merrily :) then they found possibly the most expensive hotel in Waterford, with a swimming pool spa, free parking and so on.

I can't swim, Ping can't swim and Ping's girlfriend Cherry can't swim. so I thought it seemed like a waster of money but dispite my efforts to persuade them to go to the one down the road, for 60 euro. it had to be this hotel.

Then we got the car brought it to the car parking space. bought new swimming togs. Ms. Cherry was extremely choosey lol I want padding I want such and such colour blahblah. then we went for dinner.

It was a restaurant right beside the hotel. Ping looked at the price and said yup lets go here. Not even checking what was on the menu. Surprise, surprise it was Indian and guess what they all hate Indian food. lol

Then we went back to the hotel to relax and then we went swimming!!!! I have to say dispite my lack of enthousiam about the swimming pool it actually turned out to be the highlight of the trip!

The best part was they had lots of equipment for people who couldn't swim like floats and so on. So once I used them I was flying along :) and they also had a hot tub. which was a first for me!

Then we went back to the room. relaxed. couldn't sleep, tossed and turned all night and then woke in time for the breakfast buffet. Then we drove back to Dublin and went to the cinema to see Bad teacher. It was a nice ending to the trip.

But the moral of the story is don't go on a trip unless you have a plan, you know where you are going to stay, where your going to eat, and most importantly what your going to do. Thrust me it would of saved a hell of a lot of arguments.
